Sarah B Hansen

Sarah B Hansen is a mixed media landscape artist out of Central Oregon.  As a life-long hiker and outdoor explorer, she captures the beauty of her experiences in her work.  Every piece she creates is intended to tell a story and convey an emotional connection to the locations in nature she visits.  Her landscape paintings are done in watercolor and gouache on cradled birch board as Sarah strives to create a conversation in her art using symbolic shapes, textures, imprints, and poetic verse. She paints using a neutral palette with areas of extra saturation to enforce the feeling of peace found in nature as well as the power and strength of its healing properties.  In addition to landscapes, she also paints birds that she has observed on her adventures using acrylic.

Sarah teaches watercolor and painting techniques regionally, nationally, and abroad as she has continued to build a following of her award-winning work.  Starting in 2016, she began Art Adventures, where she provides art retreats with daily art lessons while appreciating the local culture and spiritual beauty of the land.
