Wendy Vernon has made Central Oregon her home for the past decade. Prior to that she lived and worked in Washington State and California. Her undergraduate work was done at University of Puget Sound where she earned her degree in Art with an emphasis in sculpture.

She went on to complete two Masters Degrees in Clinical Art Therapy and Clinical Psychology. She has practiced as an Art Therapist for over 30 years and taught in the graduate art therapy program at Sonoma State in California for 15 years. Wendy has exhibited her art throughout Western Washington, Oregon and Northern California. Wendy has exhibited as a painter for 25 years and for the past two years, Wendy has been working in encaustics, using the medium to create 2 dimensional, textural color field studies. She has made jewelry for over 40 years and is currently placed in over 40 settings throughout Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
