MEET THE MAKER DINNER
A Night in White with Stoller Family Estate
Wednesday, August 10th
5pm-8pm
ABOUT STOLLER
Stoller is proud to have the largest contiguous vineyard in Oregon’s Dundee Hills. The property spans 400 acres, with 225 acres dedicated to growing vines at elevations ranging from 210 to 650 feet. The surrounding mountain ranges buffer the vineyard, creating a warmer microclimate that ensures consistent ripening.
Their LEED Gold and LIVE certified winery combines progressive, environmentally-friendly design with gentle, traditional winemaking practices that minimize the environmental impact. The gravity flow process offers a more gentle approach to winemaking, allowing a reduction in the amount of energy required for wine production. These factors make them one of the premier sustainable wineries in the Pacific Northwest, and they are proud to be the first LEED Gold Certified winery in the world.
The vineyard is divided into 109 meticulously farmed sections and has 10 planted varieties:
PINOT NOIR 153.23 acres
CHARDONNAY 62.37 acres
SYRAH 1.98 acres
TEMPRANILLO 1.8 acres
RIESLING 1.51 acres
PINOT BLANC 1.4 acres
GAMAY NOIR 1.01 acres
PINOT MEUNIER 1 acre
ALIGOTÉ .97 acres
VIOGNIER .13 acres
MELISSA BURR - VP OF WINEMAKING
Melissa will be joining us for this special event. She studied winemaking and fermentation science at OSU and in 2003, Melissa joined Stoller Family Estate as the winery’s first dedicated winemaker.
In her 17-year tenure with Stoller, Melissa has worked in concert with the vineyard team to oversee the site’s continued refinement. She has helped grow production from 1,000 cases to 60,000 while acting as a steward of Stoller’s legacy.
In 2013, Melissa partnered with Stoller to launch History, a brand dedicated to paying homage to historic vineyards in the Pacific Northwest. The collection will continue to evolve, as she tells more stories about these esteemed vineyards and the people who started them.
